Sarojini naidu was born on 13 February 1879 in Hyderabad .her father was philosopher and scientist Aghor Nath Chattopadhyay and her mother name was a Sundari Devi. she wrote a play “Maher Muneer” and due to it she earned a scholarship and went to abroad for further studies.and she known as “Nightingale of India”. lets read more thing of sarojini naidu.

1..Sarojini naidu started a career in literature at the age of 12.when she went on a journey to pursue higher education in London and Cambridge. she wrote a play which name was “mahar muneer” Her first piece of literary work that streamed innumerous recognition and admire from all over the world.

2.she got fell in love with govindarajula naidu who was a non – brahman and a doctor .She was brave enough and showed honesty for her love.and she got married with gobidarajula at the age of 19 in 1898.they got 4 children namely jayasurya, padmaja,radheer, and leilaman.

3.In 1905 she was started a career in politics .in India she traveled different regions and deliver lectures on social welfare, women’s empowerment and nationalism. between 1915 to 1918. and she founded a Woman’s Indian Association(WIA) in 1917.

4. Sarojini naido became a president in 1925 of Indian national congress. and she also got a award name of Kaise-i- Hind Medal from British government for her work during plague disease in India.

5. Sarojini naidu works are spread in every nook and corner of India. A few of her best notary works are The Indian Fantasy.She died on 2 March, 1949 due to cardiac arrest at the Government House in Lucknow.she was a strongest advocate of mahatma gandhi. she had supported him in every ideology to make India free form the British rule.

6.She was the first ever women from India who serves as a Governor of the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh from 1947 to 1949.
